N-butyl cyanoacrylate (NBCA) – Varicose vein surgery with glue?

This method uses local anesthesia rather than general anesthesia which provides a new varicose vein surgery method for the patients. Patients begin to walk and discharge from the hospital 15 minutes and continue their daily lives a day after this surgery. As this surgery is performed with local anesthesia it protects patients from potential risks of general anesthesia while avoiding pre-operative examinations for the general anesthesia process which makes the surgery fast and practical both for the patient and the doctor. This method is being applied both at our clinic and many other national and foreign clinics, the results are successful as laser and radiofrequency ablation operations.

How does this method apply?

Patients who need to have varicose vein surgery may undergo this operation without any preparations for anesthesia. The surgical area is sterilized for the operation, and local anesthesia is applied. With the help of ultrasound, the vein is treated and approximately in 10 minutes, the process is finalized successfully. The surgical area is bandaged and the patient may discharge from the clinic in 15 minutes.
